Brett's Web Design Portfolio
This should give you a good idea of what my work is like. Each of these links
will open a new window.
I just took this from my archives of work I've done in the past without
checking to see if all the ducks are in their rows. Any scripts you come
across are unlikely to work, and you might encounter some missing images,
links that don't go anywhere, pages that aren't quite aligned right, etc.
To be sure, on a live site I carefully make sure all of those things are in
order. Enjoy.
VideoAXS
A Dallas-based company that streams news video clips for the websites of
news organizations. I consider this site my best design work.
Tour - A quick
tour of the VideoAXS system. The background image was taken from a printed
brochure created by Bruce Christy, a friend and design mentor of mine. I
adapted it for the online tour.
Players -
VideoAXS streamed video content for various businesses, and I created the popup
video players, branded to their look and feel.
BYU SCP Site
A site I designed for Brigham Young University's Center for Remote Sensing.
Waterstone Consulting
A Chicago-based technological consulting firm.
International Computer Systems
A network consulting company in Salt Lake City.
Searle IQ
Searle IQ is a pharmaceuticals company near Chicago. Easily the pickiest
company I've ever worked for, they inspired a great quantity of revisions.
Here are several of the mockups I did for them.
International Power
Technologies
Maker of uninterruptible power supplies. This was the first site I ever
designed. Ah, the memories. I'm not sure what happened to the home page.
Can't seem to find it anywhere.
Beautiful Singing
My friend Jason and I designed this site for Dr. Clayne Robison, the
man who is teaching us how to sing. Forget my portfolio, check this one out
for the amazing things it has to offer. If you have even the slightest
interest in singing, you'll never regret hearing what Clayne has to say.
Aspen Dental
A small site for Dr. Glenn Payne, a dentist based in Orem, Utah.
Consolidated Commerce
A sister company to Waterstone Consulting. On this site, I just created the
look and feel, and they filled in the content. So you'll see mostly blank
pages and the occasional graphic that I created (see the Company Info
link).
NGCOA
National Golf Course Owner's Association, a customer of Consolidated
Commerce. Like the Consolidated Commerce site, I put together the look and
feel and they took it from there.
Estate Forecaster
This one was different from a normal website. It was for a Chicago company
called Lexite, and it was actually a computer program they put together for
some investment calculations. The program was done in HTML and ActiveX. I
did the design and they filled in the rest. This logo was my work, too. As
I recall, I needed something to fill up the space and so I threw together
in about 10 minutes the first thing that came to my mind. I think they
scrapped it and made something else.
Axiom Financial
An investment company in Orem, Utah. They actually wound up not liking the red
and green color scheme and went with something uglier. UPDATE: I just checked
out their site and they've changed it from the uglier something to something
that's a good deal prettier than what I did for them. I guess that shows me.
